Challenges

The project scope is to modernize integrations service and implement business rules using the IBM ODM engine. The challenges for OAB has three environments, and the team is working on these environments.

The scope of the project (Still running project) includes:

Implementing integration services for retail and non-retail business departments.
Integrate with AS/400 core banking.
Rebuild some of the services on IIB version 10.
SMS gateway service generalized to be provided for any solution needs to send SMS.
Publish tested services on the production environment.
Building multitier solutions on IIB to separate integrations gateways from business solutions,
Minimize the development effort for new services. Support the bank team in moving to production

TechHub Providing ODM (Operational Decision Manager) is a collection of component solutions by IBM related to business rules and complex event processing. ODM Rules will focus on the Business Rule Management System (BRMS), which consists of a few components to be described in greater detail in another post. ODM Rules is great for making stateless decisions, so We helped Oman Arab Bank (OAB) with the following:

Providing ODM rules for different bank sectors.
Implementing different business rules (Loans, Card issuing, etc.) on IBM the ODM solution
Use legacy integration service built on IIB (Message broker) version 6 and version 9
