Challenges
  • want to enable users to access IBM FileNet P8 workflows from a desktop, you must associate an IBM FileNet Content Manager repository that is configured to access the workflow system connection point and configure the workflow settings on the desktop.
  • Provided a series of sessions for the technical admins to administrate the FileNet and system stockholders to use the FileNet efficiently.
  • Chang the document storage area from the database to be a file-system storage area by creating new storage policies
solution brief
  • Create a Recovery Bin Feature in IBM Content Navigator, so that the user can send document(s)/ Folder(s) to Recovery Bin that he has the required privilege, and then the user can recover back what he has sent from the Recovery Bin feature. If the items stayed in the Recovery Bin more than the configured time, it will be automatically deleted physically from the system.
  • Create Linking Document Feature is IBM Content Navigator, so that the user can search for a document and add new child related document by searching for them using a new implemented widget, the user also can remove any/ all child documents from a specific document by browsing them from a new implemented tap in document “properties” and then he can remove any child document from the list.
  • Create the required team-spaces for the client, and enabled the technical admins there for creating more team-spaces by organizing many technical sessions.
  • Update the FileNet admin user password on staging and production.
